Origins

Giving back to the environment is more important than ever, especially now, with climate change on top of the agenda. The people behind Plan Bees have been at the heart of the revolution to give back to the natural ecosystem for many years. Rebecca Menaged, the brains behind Plan Bees, has been working tirelessly to find ways to support local businesses in the North West and to help the environment. Rebecca’s family have been at the heart of Manchester’s textile production for generations. They have been – and still are – an integral part of the fabric of the North West and are working tirelessly to be part of the environmental revolution.

Supporting Local Businesses

From sourcing reclaimed metals to make exquisite jewellery to planting trees for over twenty-five years, Rebecca understands that making the hive thrive is more important than individual gain. Plan Bees is not a charity; it was set up to support local businesses and individuals who are making a difference to our environment and to the society in which we live.

Repairing Wildlife Corridors

Plan Bees has been central in working at a grass root level to make a difference. This includes going out and repairing mile upon mile of hedgerows to provide wildlife corridors to hundreds of endangered species and promoting traditional skills to prevent cottage industries dying out.
